Portraits

In my portraits, the person is at the heart of the artwork — not only the face, but also the presence and the story behind it. I work from careful observation and intuition, capturing something of a person’s character, vulnerability, or strength.

Some portraits are created as personal works, while others are commissioned portraits. By paying close attention to posture, light, expression, and colour, I create paintings and drawings that feel alive and personal.
