The Daily Nibble

In this original colored pencil drawing, a little mouse takes a quiet moment to catch up on the latest news — quite literally, while sitting on the toilet with his trousers around his ankles. Wearing round glasses and holding a tiny newspaper called The Daily Nibble, he looks completely absorbed in the Mouse Market and the latest headlines. The toilet paper roll beside him and his long pink tail curling across the floor add an extra touch of everyday absurdity.

The drawing is carefully built up with colored pencils, combining delicate layers of color with fine details in the mouse’s soft fur, ears, whiskers, paws and expressive eyes. The blue trousers, warm pink details and subtle golden accents create small touches of color against the clean white background.

The result is a whimsical and humorous artwork that captures one of those wonderfully private moments when nobody should disturb you — because even a mouse needs a little time to read the morning paper in peace.
